WOOD WICKS
When compared with other wicks, wood wicks are the better option for scenting your home because they diffuse heat more rapidly into wax, which can lead to 35% more fragrance being released into the air.
Wood wick candles are perfectly safe to use. Compared to cotton wicks which produce a tall flame at the tip of the wick, wood wicks typically burn lower and smolder over a longer period of time.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO LIGHT A WOOD WICK CANDLE?
Simply light the edge and watch the flame crawl across the rest of the wick.
Your wick will have had it's first trim before shipping so will be ready to light. To avoid black smoke and for safety, always trim your wick to about 1cm before each burn.
HOW LONG CAN I BURN MY CANDLE FOR?
Read the British Candle Association safety advice.
We recommend you burn your candle for at least two hours on the first burn to ensure you have a full melt pool (melted wax to the edges). This avoids tunnelling and will make your candle last longer.
We do not recommend burning your candle for more than four hours at a time.
Do not burn your candle all the way to the bottom as the glass can become too hot, causing it to break or shatter and possibly causing a fire as well as other damage.

HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within four days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@societyscents.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
DAMANGED ORDERS
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at info@societyscents.com with your order number and at least two photos of the item’s condition.
